   Benzoin Resinoid Siam and Benzoin Oliffac 63 0613 at 10% side by side:

   Both sweet-balsamic. Oliffac is amped up, more diffusive and stronger. Siam is calmer with a more pronounced facet of dried fruits. Oliffac is much sweeter, like heavier on vanillin.

   At 50% it’s easier to evaluate. Opens up boozy, rather like cognac than rum or whiskey. Quickly develops into this nonaggressive vanilla-caramel sweetness. Nice addition to gourmet fragrance.
