Isobutavan (Givaudan®)

Beschreibung

Isobutavan (Givaudan®) ist ein synthetischer Duftstoff, der als Basisnote in der Parfümerie eingesetzt wird. Mit seinem balsamisch-ambra, gourmand und vanilligen Profil verleiht er orientalischen, holzigen und floralen Parfums eine besondere Tiefe und wird häufig für weiße Schokolade- und Pralinen-Noten verwendet. Isobutavan® kommt in der Natur nicht vor und ist als farblose Flüssigkeit mit der chemischen Formel C12H14O4 bekannt. Das Molekül ist besonders stabil in Shampoo- und Seifenbasen, zeigt jedoch eine geringe Stabilität in Waschmitteln und Bleichmitteln. Isobutavan® ist zudem ein Bestandteil der Chocovan® Base, die in der Parfümerie für ihre süßen und cremigen Duftkompositionen geschätzt wird.
